Me-Maws Cajun Cuisine in Golden Meadow

Food was good. But they had their young children there. They were load and and in and out of different areas as we are trying to eat. This is a place foris to go and relax and eatnot hear your kids running around and being load.

I used to love the food here. I'm sad to say it has hit rock bottom. The Chicken Fried Steak, and Fried Pork Chops meals, we ordered from here were awful. If this wasn't a takeout order I would have sent it back. Chicken Fried Steak Was Overcooked, and Fried In Old Grease. The cream gravy tasted like it had soured. Loaded Baked potato was burnt, like it had been overcooked, or reheated to long. My Husband said "The Pork Chops Were Dried Out and Tasteless." This is not the first time we've had bad takeout here. However it is the first time I've posted about it. Please correct your kitchen problems. I really like to order from you.

This was our first time stopping at this restaurant. There was ample parking spaces, even for my big rig. We were greeted immediately, and told we could sit at any table. We placed our order right after we got our beverages. The salad bar was nice, and had a quite items. The food came shortly after. It was really good. Dessert was equally enjoyable. The bread pudding was really tasty. The server, Michelle, and the cashier, Nicol were both attentive and friendly. They're open 7 days a week, and they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would recommend Me-Maw's restaurant to anyone traveling through Golden Meadow.

Awesome home cooked meals, nice atmosphere.

Tremendous service, friendly service. This is classic small town Cajun hospitality who treat customers like family. I had the fried shrimp po-boy with fries and could have ordered just about everything. I’m not sure if I’ll get back this deep in the Bayou but if I do I’ll be back

Hot fresh to order fried chicken was great, mashed potatoes were very buttery and the brown gravy made it even better. The rice dressing reminded me of the old Danny's Fried chicken of my youth....very very good. We will definitely return.

Service was slow, food was not hot, staff more interested in talking to each other than being attentive to customers.

Wonderful service! What polite staff they have. The portions were good and the food was fresh.

It's a local place. Not many other restaurants in the area. It's clean, they're friendly and greeted us as we came in. The buffett ended at 2pm, and it was 2:30, but she said we could eat on it, but they weren't refilling it. I had the buffett with a salad first. Good amount of items in it. I had egg salad also, tasty! Fried chicken, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes.. average fare, pretty tasty. Not expensive. Nice folks.

On Fridays they have a great seafood buffet!!! I recommend this place to anyone. The food is awesome especially the stuff crabs!!!!

Flew to Louisiana for an extended weekend of good food and this was exactly what I was looking for. Friendly service and fantastic food.

Working in the road, one gets tired of drive -thru and diner food. This is much, much better. The staff is always extremely courteous. Next time you're passing through Golden Meadow, be sure to check them out.

Very bad service rude waitress. Asked for bread and never received it.watress droped it on the floor in the prep room and never returned went to wate on other tables. When asked where was bread she said cook never fixed it we were finally told us.

Awesome ambience...

We came in as tourists to this region (we’ve been coming to this area for 10 years) and were so delighted with the friendly serving staff, the food and variety of offerings on the buffet. We visited two nights in a row and both nights the buffet offered different items: fried chicken, chicken fried steak, dirty rice, all the trimmings plus a great salad bar as well. The chicken gumbo was the BEST in the parish. I cannot day enough about the friendly staff. We were well taken care of and we’ll be back!

First time here. Started off with half order onion rings which were phenomenal and some duck strips which were very tasty. I got the bang bang shrimp. It was out of this world! My boyfriend had the hamburger steak which he really enjoyed and was really good. We will definitely be back! BRAVO!

The food was not that great. I had a crab dish that consisted of fried crab claws but with no crab, basically it was fried batter. Also there was a dish of ?? Cream cheese in a bread bowl with "crab"? Basically it was warm cream cheese in bread. That being said my husband had fried oysters he said weren't to bad, til he later had lets just say several bathroom trips. Def. Will not go back here. On a side note the service was good. Friendly servers.

Awesome authentic. Huge portions

The restaurant has bad ambience. Its not clean, the food is very mediocre. Quantity is bad and expensive. I wanted to try local food and went here because this was the only restaurant open on Sunday with decent reviewsWill not recommend this restaurant. Stay away.

Love this place! It is always a treat to be in town and get to eat here. Hospitality is amazing, as always, and the food is down home cooking!

My wife and I went to Grand Isle and on the way back were really hungry. We found this place by accident; and what a great accident it turned out to be. The waitress was so friendly and made us feel right at home. The menu was extensive with both Cajun and American offerings and anything you get they made sure there was plenty of it. I got the crawfish etouffe and onion rings. The etouffe was delicious and full of crawdads. The onion rings were lightly battered and very tasty. My wife had the chicken gumbo and potato salad. The gumbo was full of chicken and very well spiced. The potato salad was rich and creamy. The bread pudding was sooo good!! The server was very attentive and refills on drinks were always right on time. If you're in the area this is definitely a stop to make-you won't be disappointed.

A small local restaurant with a decent selection of items. Quality and taste of food was above average but not spectacular. Very friendly staff. Prices are average for this type of restaurant. Large gavel parking lot and is located directly adjacent to the highway. I recommend the spinach and artichoke dip.

I just want to start off by saying this is one of the best places I have found to eat on my way back from fishing Leeville. If you are pulling a boat they have a big parking lot. The staff treated us like family. Food was very good and very well priced! It was my friend's birthday an I was joking with the waitress if they had a birthday special. As we were done eating the waitress comes out with a small cake with a scoop of icecream on top and tells the whole place it's his birthday and we all sing him happy birthday! This place has my business for life! Really made us feel like we were family. Thanks again to the staff at Me-Maw's
